Shepherd Kidz Cares is a newly opened private Residential Treatment Facility located in Richmond,TX.

 ​The facility is licensed by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services for the care of children ages 6 through 17 years in accordance to the Consolidated Standards for 24-hours Child Care Facilities.

The facility’s primary source of referrals is from the Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. Residents placed with the agency are admitted based on a history of physical, sexual and emotional abuse, mental illnesses, as well as juvenile delinquency. Their family history is characterized by medical and physical neglect, abandonment, alcoholism, drug abuse, mental illness and lack of supervision.

 

SKC is committed to providing for children needing protection and that have been removed from their homes and families. Treatment is provided in a variety of modalities.
